New free chess database software - ChessX - 2007/04/30 22:59Hello to everyone. I just wanted to point all of you that there is new program in a spirit of SCID and its derivatives: ChessDB and new SCID-pg, so it is cross-platform (thanks to Qt and C++) but with modern user interface and probably better user experience. If any of you Chesscirclers is interested go to ChessX home page.
Re:New free chess database software - ChessX - 2007/06/23 00:04Hi! Thanks for welcome. I hope I will find chesscircle a nice place to stop by from time to time. I've noticed that there's "Submit News" link - what does it do? I admit I am helping ChessX's team to gather some community around it and I'd like to introduce it to chesscircle users. I imagine there is some policy for adding news items...
Re:New free chess database software - ChessX - 2007/06/27 06:24So I cannot post news about new software? And in news either? So who submitted the news that are now on the page? As I understand it I'd be competitor for you , right?
Re:New free chess database software - ChessX - 2007/06/27 10:50Sure you can post news. But no advertising (you know what I mean, no?)
No, you'd not be a competitor but a co-chess-enthousiast - there's a tiny difference in that The more we learn from eachother - the better it is for the people visiting both our sites, no?
