Re:Chessmaster 11 database capabilities - 2008/04/24 11:53
Since Chessmaster software aim for casual player, I don't need other expensive program such as Fritz. But for club players Fritz is more useful. The cool graphics of Chessmaster make it very pleasant to play , and Menus are very simple to use. On the other hand Fritz is very functional but there are tons of buttons and parameters to configure and its quite unusable in 3D-view.
it depends on you skills.
Now there are lots of platinium softwares very nice, really affordable, such as Fritz 9 or Chessmaster 10 (around $10) with a very complete content for the price.
I know Chessmaster have number of lacks concerning game analysis and (maybe) the database, but it really improved my game.
