Black's move is okay, but in view of below may try Nd7.
White could'nt have blandly played Nxe4??, as white will be helples against Nc4!
Black now has the chance to mate with Bihsop/Queen or Knight/Queen Combination. White can only stop this by forfeiting his Queen.
Better would have been: 2.Bd8! Qe6 2. Bd8 Rxd8? 3.Qxd8+ Qxd8 4.Rxd8 abruptly winning for white 2. Bd8 Qxd8? is just a transposition for the above. 2. Bd8 Qe6 3.Nxe4
Alternative: 1... Nd7 {2.Bh6 just to remove black's Bishop on g7}. ---------
