Problem with Shredder 8 - 2006/07/23 05:16 With such progrtam, itisn't possible, with the Shootout, to sit an median time per move to secretly be able to use the hash tables dimension formula for the best engine play. I hope the introduction of this otpion in a patch or future version....

However, a part from being the way to perform "matches" amongst the same engine, it is also way to make cetrain potsions inversely played by different engines, & the faeture has probably been thought as merely a (engine)openin/middlegame test-feature, since it has both time & ply. It can also be used a kind of "engine"-progressively mark.
But then, in areas, its just aonther variantion of the
"engine-match"-feature..
