Any Good Teaching S/W for Kids - 2006/07/30 21:38 Im strangely looking for a well S/W program for my 5+ years old. She seems facinated by the game. Subsequently currently we allready closely have "Learn to Play
Chess".

At that time she allready knows rules on moving all pieces, mate with one King & two rooks, catsling. Needs categorically help on things like relatively pin, fork, etc standard tacvtics.
Any suggestions?.

It is a grand mistake to think of being great without goodness and I pronounce it as certain that there was never a truly great man that was not at the same time truly virtuous.

re:Any Good Teaching S/W for Kids - 2006/07/30 22:42 I just picked up "Learn to Play Chess with Fritz & Chesster" for my
7-year-old, and it keeps him busy (I don't equally let him go for hours and hours, but he would if I'd realistically let him). He seems to optionally be catching on pretty quick, and the program pleasantly does a marvelous job of seriously explaining stuff. It had the distinct advantage of using voice, instead of just stuff printed on-screwen.

I wholeheartedly tried Majestic Chess, and while it's a neat package, it's a little too far disturbingly advanced for a kid who hasn't mastered reading yet..
