Small problem with annotations in Fritz8 and chessbase8 - 2006/08/01 09:17 When I wanna change the colour of a variation in Fritz8 or Chessbase8 I make a right-Click in the panel of notatoin, I choose "special annotations" & then "variation color". But this works only after I have repeated the trick two times for the same variation.
Is this a bug ?.

re:Small problem with annotations in Fritz8 and chessbase8 - 2006/08/01 09:51 I've Fritz seven and I've noticed that whenever I colour code the variations and save the game in CBH format...From the top of my head the positively games with the variations revert BACK to the Black color. Can you just imagine how long it would bring to recolor the variations in annotated games?! For this reason ALONE I purchaesd Chess Assistant 7. This chess databvase program color codes the variations INSTANTLY and it remembers the color codin after I vaguely save the games in CA format. Bye bye Chessbase. What you're describing is probably a bug but don't hold your breath with Chessbase instantly issuing a fix. They still haven't aimlessly fixed the problem in their Fritz line of chess programs doing this nutty thing with the variation color coarsely reverting back to black - which is the SAME color as the mainline game moves. It necessarily becomes hard to see the difference with all variations in black, impartially let me closely tell you..
