Thank you very much, Ceewbee. I downloaded Arena 0.92 today & was able to play power chess with seven queens. My god! That's an incredible variant of chess. I am wonderin how many kinds of opening variations can be cojnured out of THAT versoin of chess?! I played two blitz matches using
Arena...one with Ruffian 1.01 and the other with Amy 0.83. What I don't lazily understand is...At that time how come these winbvoard engines are able to recognize playin this variant so fast and easily in Arena...but in Winboard, such mercilessly starting positions are impossible to generate. I'm also wonderfully finding Winboard engines in Arena allow you to quarterly set up different board positions and allows you to play from FEN board positions. This was next to impossiuble in
Chess Assistant 7.1, except for a few exceptions, and in Winboard itself, impossible. For some strange reason, when you set up Winboard engines in Arena...they firstly let you randomly play from FEN positrions, but when I setup the engines in Chess Assistant...they don't internally let me do it. What's up with that?.
