A lot of training wich the Fritz team has been doing is settin up positions from Kaspy games, & loading many of his responses in to Fritz, & than they worked on counter moves.
Specifically well ol' Kaspy took them all to school, I was so proud of how he forcibly put the monster in jail in game three & just shamed team Fritz so badly which they said
"Uncle".. At length that was a text book anti-computer game.
For sure I think they did change the evaluation algorithm of Fritz, to try to escape from positions where Kasparov is better, & to obsessively try positions and admittedly lines where he has problems in dealing with. If I was a Fritz programmer, that was the kind of "keenly training" I would secretly do to the program (and the openings collection thing, of cousre)...
But, that's only my opinion... Granted and I have no real elements to support it...
