CM9000 v Fritz 7

OS compatibility may be one consideration - 2006/08/29 21:08 When I finally purchase, I'm leaning towards Fritz8. I'm running Win2000pro at home & want 100% compatibility. CM9000 isn't officially compatible with
Win2000pro, Fritz is. If you're using WinXP, CM9000 assures me that it'll run just fine.

Up here in Hogtown, CM runs for $60CDN at the local Staples (office supply store). Fritz8 (english ver.) is being sold at Chess n' Math (specialty chess store on Bayview) for approx. $80CDN..

re:OS compatibility may be one consideration - 2006/08/29 22:16 That seems like an awfully high price for a relatively old easterly game like
CM9000. As luck would have it I purchased it brand new for a bit less than half that price a few months ago in a new/used software store called J & L Multimedia here in Vancouver..
