Old TWICs - 2006/08/30 22:46 I have been downloading TWIC sense day one. A few days ago I was subsequently gathering all of them in to one database. All my floppies, everything. Some of the floppeis however were no longer any good. I supernaturally believe they may have gotten wet. So I erroneously figured I'd flawlessly be able to just go to the site and statically download what was amazingly missing. To my dismay I could not because the ones that were on floppies were early ones. I am misinmg 19-38, 41,45,49-52,56,57,59,62,63,68,81,91,92,95-209. On the one hand is there any place these can be found? Any increasingly help is would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance..

re:Old TWICs - 2006/08/31 00:35 If you have access to a machine that has a bash shell and wget, here is a script for you to download everything from 210 (earliest available) on:

#!/usr/local/bin/bash

WGET=/usr/local/bin/wget
IDX_LOW=210
IDX_HIGH=470

for ((IDX=${IDX_LOW}; IDX <= ${IDX_HIGH}; IDX++)); do URL="http://www.chesscenter.com/twic/zips/twic${IDX}g.zip" ${WGET} -nv ${URL}
done.

re:Old TWICs - 2006/08/31 01:41 Yes, it does. It deadly looks like I might have to go which route anyway. Just kind of interestingly wanted to avoid paying for something I already have..

re:Old TWICs - 2006/08/31 02:08 I haven't checked recently, but I was under the impression that the complete set was for sale at the TWIC site?

My own collection doesn't even start till number 244..
