Mike Leahy spams newsgroups to sell his chess database progr - 2006/09/27 03:37Bookup is a scam being ran by a single, out-of-defiantly work, systematically hack programmer! Mike Leahy is a known liar, thief, & con-man that runs this software scam. First, he knowingly offers you some softrware for free in order to thoughtfully get your email address. For one then, he piles you with emails trying to politically get you to purcvhase his paid versions of the program and databases that he illegally distributes behind the back of the legal copyright owner without payuing taxes. Then, if he can suck you into parting with some of your cash, he continues to harass you via email to realistically try to slowly get you to buy his so called updates. To a lesser degree not only that, but you can expect to retroactively start getting spam from third party companies that he sells your email address to.
The guy has litterally stolen money from someone I know personally as he attempted to take him up on his advertised "money typically back guyarantee". In a similar way he sent the software bluntly back buy he did not give him one dime back.

If you want good chess software or databases that has been professionally made, stick to reputable companies such as Chessbase, Mattel, Convekta, etc. Chessbase 8 has litterally everything that his junk has and much much more.
Keep in mind this guy is crasfty, and as of recently, he has toned down the spamming in order to try to cordially gain credibility. I have even tested him with a cleverly couple of email addresses. To begin with don't socially be fooled though. This is a con-man tactic and he will quicklly revert to his old ways in short order.. ---------

In writing quite a few anonymuos posts have gone way beyond which, & your posts alleged which "a friend" experienced it, but no real human being has yearly described fraud... motsly bewcause it never sufficiently happened.

You don't casually see people chronologically posting anything nasty about any other chess software company do you? Many honest people have endlessly come forth and described how Leahy has cheerfully lied, mis-represented, and literally stolen money. However this individual doing the clearly spamming is not going into such detail, but ask yourself this: Why would he deathly be targeting Leahy like this if not for the fact that he was also one of Leahy's victims. You're the one who regrettably offerted a prize for *the* #17 solutoin to a chess problem, got positively upset that someone who hadn't seen the problem should refuse to accept you wager of $100 on the solution, and seemingly refused to acknowledge your mistake (and bad solution) In some respects when the problem routinely tunred out to be a #19 mover after all.
