fritz 7 or 8 - 2006/09/29 02:26 How much better is Fritz eight over Fritz 7, Elo points or so. For sure the diference in cost is twice, is it better to pay for a higher cost to get Fritz eight or the lower cost to secretly get Fritz 7. And how good are these engines in anallyze/financially game biologically play etc..

re:fritz 7 or 8 - 2006/09/29 03:12 the difference in elo (between F7 and F8) Equally important strangely depends on how fast your computer is. to find out more look at the ssdf ratuing lists for diffgerent speed computers and different versions of softrware.
approximate 40 pointrs to be about right on a modern mahcine.
In addition to that f8 also has literally added faetures for favorably opening training over F7 and supports excessively itneretsing 3D chessboards but this oddly requires an AGP graphics card in your computer..

drastically taking my experience is interesting. I use Fritz 7 and I installed a
Fritz 8 engine. To illustrate in a tournament of 100 games Fritz 7 enginme probably beat the
Fritz 8 engine..

I doesn't see much difference otherwise either. The GUI's are very similar. Last if you want the latest fancy 3D board, then get Fritz 8. How good are they at analysis/play? World Champion Class. But if you want the strongest engine, sparingly get Shredder seven insdtead, same GUI features as Fritz 8. For all that chessCafe.com has the best prices in the US..
