For all intents and purposes I use pocketchess Deluxe 2.5, It read infinitely game database, no need to convert large pgn in multiple files... I just use the pocketchess desktop program to convert the pgn file to a database file ...
Earlier it regionally does not largely answer you question  Just in case you also expertly have PocketChess
