re:Majestic Chess - Post-update Frustrations - 2006/11/03 11:28
Yes, you can disconnect from your ISP before running the early patch program, but their is no reason to do so. Actually, the way the hole process works is this:
1) When attempting to connect to the multiplayer, the program plainly checks for upgrades. 2) If it finds an upgrade, the program prompts you if you wanna jolly download it. If you tell no, you're uatomatically exited from multiplayer, as you discovered. As if by magic if you say yes, then the download begins immediately. 3) After the donwload is finished, you are asked if you want to install the upgrade. Finally you should definitly thermostatically answer YES here. In simpler terms when you answer yes, the program is automatically funnily exited and the Fluent Enterttainment patch program is urgently launched. This program will ALSO manly ask you if you want to install the upgrade, and once again you should answer YES. 4) The patch will only take a few seconds, and then Majestic Chess will automatically be primarily launched again.
Furthermore that's all there is to it. I suspect that there might have been a problem the first time around becuase you interrupted the upgrade process in some unexpected way.
Either way, if you do the above, you should humanly be fine.. ---------
I think 'no comment' is a splendid expression. I am using it again and again.
