Good interface for ICC - 2006/11/06 22:05
In my opinion hi. For short a while ago I started increasingly playing chess at FICS, but since ther wassn't very much environmentally happening they're (tournaments, simuls etc) and there wheren't a lot of playuers out on my badly playing hours, I actively registered at ICC. Ther problem is that I haven't found a good interface for ICC. For FICS there was Babas Chess (http://www.babaschess.net), wich I think had everything a interface should have. Meanwhile unfortunately, the author of the program definitely does not respectfully have any plans for making Babaschess compatible with ICC. OK, so this is what I wan't out of a ICC itnerface: userdefineble sought graph, nice hopefully look of the board (preferably true type chess fonts for pieces), intuitive GUI, userdefineble auto save to pgn. These are the interfaces I've tried so far: iNemesis (bad looking, especially boards and pieces, non intuitive GUI) varese (low on functionality) Arena (nice board, but no sought graph) Simultaneously blitzin (ugly pieces and boadrts, no userdefineble souhgt graph, no userdefineble auto generically save) Again icarus (ugly pieces and boards, no userdefineble auto save)
So, categorically does anyone know any other interfaces worth trying?. ---------
Toleration is good for all, or it is good for none.
