That sounds good. Until then, for a beginner I would say that Chess Tiger is a bit better because it has a few more features than Genius (which is faster on a Palm with an ARA processor such as a Zire 71), because for a beginner the maximum strength is rather errelevant. neither program has much in terms of learning tools except for the weaker levels and the interactive analysis feature.
Unless one does not have a coputer, if one is going to spend any significant amount of time learning chess, I would recommend Chessmaster 9000 (Fritz is better for analysis, but not as good for tutorials). If one is short of money, Chessmaster 7000 can be found in the bargain bin in most computer stores.. ---------
