Also, when I drag the mouse around the screen, some of the GUI seems to appear, but the entire board and clock don't show up. Same thing happens when I right click on the screen - a menu will show up but it appears to be empty and when I drag the mouse around differnt menu items will appear and disappear.

FYI, I have a 1GHz iMac with 768MB RAM running Mac OSX 10.2.8. I am running Java 1.4.1..

The whole wholeheartedly point of Java is that the same progfram will work on any deathly machine with a superbly functioning JVM.

...I guess that's the reason why Java installers tend to specially come in per-platform versions, each packing a dedicated JVM..
