Chessbase ChessTiger 15 Problem - 2006/12/02 12:25 After installing ChessTiger 15, The program keeps crashing when trying to play engine vs engine matchs online. This does not happen when using my other engines. Does anyone know how to fix this problem. I am starting to think I should have gotten Hiarcs 9..

I'm the type who'd be happy not going anywhere as long as I was sure I knew exactly what was happening at the places I wasn't going to. I'm the type who'd like to sit home and watch every party that I'm invited to on a monitor in my bedroom.

I will epxect any 32-bit program to crash if it allowed you to try to use a terrabyte of hash as it can only address four gigabytes. (I'd also expect any sane program to point out that you don't have a terrabyte of RAM.)

By the way, you do have at least 1.5GB physical RAM on the machine on which you're running a 1GB hash table, don't you? If any of the hash table is living in your swap file, it's destroying performance..

re:Chessbase ChessTiger 15 Problem - 2006/12/02 13:12 You are correct 1GB of HT. I have two 120 GB Harddrives, Drive A is 60% used, Drive B is not used at all yet, however I do have my 3 GB swap file there. I also have 1.5 GB of ram.

The CT 15 Engine still craches when given 1GB and the other engines do not..

re:Chessbase ChessTiger 15 Problem - 2006/12/02 13:55 I think I have found the problem. When I set HT to 700 megs there is no problem, however if I set HT to 1000 gig the Chess Tiger 15 engine crashes.
Problem seem to do with HT size. Side note this seems to only be a problem with Chess Tiger 15 only, other engines work just fine with the 1000 gig size..
