re:Fritz 7 help! - 2006/12/18 18:55
Sorry, not that I'm aware of.
But if you have a database, select quality games from it and build an opening tree with it under Fritz.
Create a new book file (database window > file > new > database > "save as *.ctg (opening book)) and save it to disk. It's empty for now.
Now select your games from the database of your choice. Use the "filter" option to select games, or use the whole database. When it's a big database it can take many - many hours.
Save your selected games in a new database or simply mark them (slect all) after you've filtered them and copy them with ctrl-c.
Now go from the datanase to the Fritz surface, and go to edit > openings book > import games. After checking the dialog box and changing if you want you can press okay and the moves will be copied into a book.. ---------
Errors of haste are seldom committed singly. The first time a man always does too much. And precisely on that account he commits a second error, and then he does too little.
