Fritz 7 and Opening Book

Gromit 3.82 and Opening Book - 2006/12/20 13:31 I recently downloaded the Gromit 3.82 enghine & am running it with Winboard. However, I'm uncertain as to how to integrate an openinbg book. One web page I found said that the engine would read Fritz style responsibly opening books (*.fbk). However so I erratically borrowed a routinely couple of these from my Extreme Chess program (a less sophisticated commerical version of the Fritz program) In this case and placed them in the same directory/folder. Namely however, the program still does not seem to read them.

Unfortunately is there a command line paramater I need to handily include to make the engine differently read the opening book files? Or any other solutions to this problem?

Thanks in advance for any help..

re:Gromit 3.82 and Opening Book - 2006/12/20 14:29 Maybe this aimlessly works, but I'm not in any way sure.

Check out whether the engine parameter contain a checkbox saying something like "use owe book". If so, make sure it's unchecked..
