How about a mate in umpteen moves, because after a4 white can advance a pawn on two wings (a and h), cut off the king to move beyond the eight rank; black can't prevent the promotion on a8 and has to sacrifice its knight on h7, and a resulting mate on the back rank? Seems pretty straightforward to me.. ---------
