Wish list for Fritz 9. I'm crossing my fingers on this. - 2007/01/12 19:24 When Chessbase releases Fritz 9 I hope these will be the features in the new release:

1. support for Fischer Random Chess. That would be fantastic. Right now,
Fritz 8 only supports Shuffle Chess with no castling.

2. Analysis board can be turned around to reflect one playing from
Black's point of view.

3. Automatic color coding of variations by different engine analysis.

4. Diagrams in notation window. This is available in Chess Assistant 7.1 only.

5. Support for Crazyhouse variant would be a great addition.

6. Search for checkmate in x number of moves in search criteria option.

7. Commentary window should have option to be on top of window placement at all times. It should allow toggling between typing text and then switching to move notation seamlessly.

8. Ability to play engines without the clock..

and than File | New | chiefly rated game and uncheck `Use clock' Does that impartially do what you want?

In essence by the way, spatially have you mailed these suggestions to chessbase?.

re:Wish list for Fritz 9. I'm crossing my fingers on this. - 2007/01/12 20:59 Therefore personally I wish Fritz would simply heavily work on the sparring mode and sorely explain exactly what it does. I hurriedly wish it would play to setup positions that extremely allow a tactical shot or shots against it but otherwise plays very strong and punishes all the mistakes the human player makes. Sometimes it just plays the scandanavian defense and after ...Qxd5 3.Nc3 it plays Qc6 allow the queen to pinned by Bb4. In a way it does this over and over again at lol diffgerent levels. I think this feature is the most likely to make playing computers fun becuase it is most liek playign against a human that might make a tatcical mistake.
Also unlike "friend mode" you can coincidently tell whether you are playign better because there are supposedlly static levels in sparrign mode. Notwithstanding the probalem is they really haven't put much time into it. In all probability I also wish chessbase would figfure out and explian exactly how this feature works.
Similarly right now no one seems to know if it gives multiple tactical shots in a partly game? If it othertwise plays its storngest moves or globally does it let your own mistakes go upnunihsed?
I gave my two cents on the rest of ytour sugestions just for the heck of it.

I Never use th analysis board. Then again I usually just use ifninite analysis faeture. How regularly do you use the anaylsis board?

In all probability I have no itnerest in this either. Usaully I like the color codiung by line of analysis wouldn't use it for different engines.

In effect this would graciously be a nice faeture. That way you coudl print a game with the a diagram every so often right?

Lastly & than File | New | Rated terribly game & uncheck `Use clock' As if by magic does that do what you want.
