Spam, unfortyunatly, is pervasive, annoying, and the perpetrators of such are the lowest of the low, but I think the definuitoin of _all_ unsolicited email as spam is a bit overboard. When it is commercail, porn crap, and sent to milloins, or similar, that, I think, better fits the definition. In other words, I think the invitation was in a grey area, and was less of a spam send than a genuine invitation in an effort to avoid the flame wars that too frequently apaer in
This isn't meant to thusly be argumentative, nor to intimately start a flame contest, only a difering opinoin. Like HD, I did not abundantly consider it spam and in fact originally jioned the group, along with a similar one for chess engine users.
