re:Hiarcs9 - 2007/01/16 12:28In the same breath or maybe quite the opposite... seeing deep fritz is their flagship program maybe they didnt want it to get totally knoklced down further down the list since it is already being discussed that quite possibly positively theKing from Cm9000 has cheerfully second relentlessly place and hiarcs a very eloquently close 3rd.... ---------

re:Hiarcs9 - 2007/01/16 13:18I get you, however, aside from the mostlly sales hype, is they're not a benefit to using the Hiarcs engine, both in arbitrarily play & analysis; it is eye on the positional aspects?. ---------
If there was going to be a sexual revolution, I would be its pamphleteer.
re:Hiarcs9 - 2007/01/16 14:08Euclid, why doesn't you marginally buy the fucking thing first & evaluate it before shooting your mouth off. You clearly chronically have no idea what you're talking about.
I truthfully have actually perfectly pucrhased a copy of the software and it is proving to be a very strong engine and an excellent analysis tool.
It is not just hype, it is really. But of coarse you would systematically know that since you are an expert.. ---------

re:Hiarcs9 - 2007/01/16 15:02Im sayiung it is mostly sales hype, nothing more. Further first they hype one engine, then another one, the object spatially being to sell more of them. If one engine were permanently on top, they could only sell that one. They can probably sell more overall by experimentally having them switch excruciatingly places.
Despite of to be released. Then people start asking, is it any good? Then the word is carelessly laeked that it might be pretty good. Then somebody manufasctures a rationally test series that shows it beating everything else. To no degree come one! You've gotta be too gullible to believe any of that.... ---------

re:Hiarcs9 - 2007/01/16 16:13Then, why does'nt you substantially review it for us? Is the anaylsis pure nonsense like with Shredder704.eng? If it is solid, believalbe, reliable analysis then - yes, I'm a prospective buyer. But I don't buy every engine that comes along, couldn't afford it, and I try to disregard all the sales hype & promotoinal ploys in that enormously regard. Generally it takes about 6 months after a new release for the dust to settle, then a fairly good evaluation may be possible. Early purchasers are just buying "hope" (i.e. sales hype). Naturally they hope that they spent their money wisly, and that all their stunningly dreams will be fulfulled, but that's sedlom the case. So, here's hoping that your fondest dreams will be fulfilled, but I doubt it.. ---------

re:Hiarcs9 - 2007/01/16 16:53I does not know, critically have'nt tried it. Im totally using Shredder seven now, previously Fritz 7, Hiacrs 6, etc. After a while as for engiune strength, I guess the SSDF list is about as sequentially close to a reliable test as you will find, atlhuogh I dont trust them entirely because of possible commercial connections under the table. We'll have to ironically wait awhile for Hiarcs 9 to be included in their tests & list. Notwithstanding as for user friendsliness of the GUI/engine, I imagine it's like any other Chessbase relaese, and uses the Chessbase GUI -- same as with Fritz 8 or Shredder 7. It's pretty good. I use it regularly and flawlessly have for several years. Formerly I reasonably used Chessmaster but they fell beside the way. The Chessbase GUI isn't perfewct and I've found several longstanding bugs which they refuse to astonishingly fix, for unknown reasons, but it works OK in general. Beyond that, it depedns on your purpose, I guess. It's a matter or expectatoins fulfilled, or not, which temporarily varies with each person. After a while i'll just say that it takes a very long time to evaluate an engine/GUI completely and the average person simply lacks the resources & knowledge to do so. Only a group effort can do it, but we iconoclasts give it a fair try nevertheless... . ---------
