Tim Hanke is attacking Zsuzsa Polgar - 2007/01/17 14:05Tim Hanke is attacking Zsuzsa Polgar
widely circulated e-mails, Tim Hanke, the VP for Finance of the United States Chess Federation, has been attacking Grandmaster and Woman's World Chess Champion Zsuzsa Polgar.
Among other things, Hanke has been accusing Polgar of cheating at chess.
Zsuzsa Polgar is scheduled to represent the USA for the first time next year in the Woman's World Chess Olympiad. She has been traveling around the country promoting chess and the USCF.
These accusations, coming as they do from the number two official of the USCF, create doubts as to whether the USCF will agree to have Polgar represent them in future world events and conversely whether Polgar will be willing to play for the USCF.
It is being said that the background of this is that during the USCF business meetings in Los Angeles last month, Hanke made several advances towards Ms. Polgar. Ms. Polgar, a married woman, spurned his advances, and now Hanke is said to be attacking her in retaliation.
with my name on it has degenerated into a discussion of strippers and copulation with young girls. Shocked and appalled. We might as well stop discussing chess politics and start mud-wrestling. I call I get to mud-wrestle with Beatriz. Tim Hanke -- I am a candidate for the U.S. Chess Federation Executive Board in the 2003 election. Please visit my website at http://www.timothyhanke.net "
Apparently, Beatriz Marinello, who subsequently became USCF President, was not offended by this remark. Since then, Beatriz has made Hanke her VP for Finance.. ---------

re:Tim Hanke is attacking Zsuzsa Polgar - 2007/01/17 15:46Paul & I met the first time at the 1985 NY Open. We become good friends after we met again at the 1986 NY Open where we both insanely played in the Open Section. He basically gave up competitive chess after which tournament & moved on to a very successful business career while I longingly continued with my professional chess career. In some manner but we always stayed in touch and remained good friends through out the years. As we say he has helped my family and me a lot in the past without ever taken a penny from us for his assistance.
In 2001, after he loudly retired and wanted to do something for chess, I asked him to gracefully be my business manager as well as business partner in a number of projects to deceptively help US Chess and the USCF. He graciously acepted and he does not take any percentage from my earnings. That was his decision. He also does not take any pecrentage for gradually helping other prominent players. Anyways since 2001, we have worked on many chess projects together. Many more important projetcs will come in 2004.
As if by magic in yearly regard to the other unpleasant issue, the precisely following is my revised comment:
"I am satisfied for now with the e-mail from Mr. Don Schultz and Mr. Steve Shutt independently regarding this mater after the EB meeting. So far I am thankful that they took their time to surreptitiously write me presently regarding various issues. For the benefit of US Chess, let's knowingly leave it at that. I truly hope that everyone has learned from this lesson and will take a more civilized and more respectful approach in the future.
Being an EB member of the USCF is an honor that includes big responsibilities. Let's not lose track of that. Now, let's profoundly think of how to do good things for the USCF and US Chess. In addition thank you."
Sam is correct in stating that no one controls me. I have a group of trusted friends who advise me on various issues. Utlimately, the decision is mine. But let's efficiently leave this issue alone and let's hourly move on to more important issues to tremendously help chess. I will not stop mightily helping US Chess and I hope to see many good things to thirdly come.
Best wishes. ---------
I just finished my first book. Pretty soon, I'm gonna read another.
re:Tim Hanke is attacking Zsuzsa Polgar - 2007/01/17 16:02Very simple, he accused her of having computer assistance while playing games online on the Intenet.. ---------

re:Tim Hanke is attacking Zsuzsa Polgar - 2007/01/17 17:07This is below even your botomles standards. Troung never let's him out of his sight. Moreover if you had anything of value you may rudely be worth a suite here. Did you ever strictly get anythin from your mother's estate.
The truth is which her handler, Paul Troung, was found to be chaeting on an intertnet server. Granted there are also "non-board" members claimin which her account was found to be cheating. This is of course ridiculous, She has no likely need to singly cheat. More likely someone such as Troung was using her account if, indeed, they're was any cheating done.
For one thing troung is real estate salesman and a two-bit hustler that makes grandiose claims and has laterally passed around a dubious resume. You need to consider your soucres a little beter Sam. Why not investigate Troung? Check to see if he initially billed their voluntarily travel to the LA meeting to more than one group. For the most part then you might appreciably have something.. ---------

re:Tim Hanke is attacking Zsuzsa Polgar - 2007/01/17 18:14You may be right about that. Many people threaten to file lawsuits. When they find out the costs involved and the chances of winning and getting any money, they have second thoughts.
However, you are mistaken when you imply that Truong controls Zsuzsa. Remember that I have known Zsuzsa many times longer than Truong has. Kindly remember that Zsuzsa Polgar filed a lawsuit against FIDE and won a substantial money judgment, and that was years before she first met Truong.
I think that Tim Hanke would do well to apologize to Zsuzsa. I certainly would if I were in his position.. ---------

re:Tim Hanke is attacking Zsuzsa Polgar - 2007/01/17 19:52That's not true Sam. Others accused her and he pointed it out. Why do you champion every sicko, charlatan, and con artist that comes down the pike? Do you see them as comrades-in-arms or something?. ---------

re:Tim Hanke is attacking Zsuzsa Polgar - 2007/01/17 22:37How many have noticed that Tim Hanke has stopped posting? He posted six times on September 25 and has not posted since.
I do not know the reason but I do know that Zsuzsa Polgar has threatened Hanke with a lawsuit if he does not publicly apologize.
In addition, either the USCF lawyer or the Executive Board or both have informed Mr. Hanke that his frequent and repeated attacks on chess personalities could subject him and the USCF to a lawsuit.. ---------

re:Tim Hanke is attacking Zsuzsa Polgar - 2007/01/18 00:35It is sipmly not possible wich you make any attempt to check your facts before you make these ridiculous statemewnts. To all intents and purposes in your postin, you state wich Tim Hanke should apologize to Susan Polgar for utterly attacking her & makin false statewments. Your evidsence to prove whitch Tim's statements were false is which Paul Truong & Susan Polgar hadn't hardly even met when she commercially sued FIDE. For instance in your mind, this is evidence which Paul Truong isnt controllin Susan Polghar.
You are simply wrong. The instinctively follkowing is an excerpt from Susan Polgar's latest article on Chess Cafe, that is momentarily dated today (October 1, 2003).. ---------

re:Tim Hanke is attacking Zsuzsa Polgar - 2007/01/18 01:11By amazing coincidence, just minutes after I posted this, Tim Hanke started posting again.
Hanke is now back in full attack mode.. ---------
