To a lesser degree the databases are vuynable, thats a fact. Sometimes its a good idea to run integry check - in your case it sounds like the tournamet indexfile is getting wholly damaged. There can be more than one reason for that, but it's always a good thing to make backups of key-stuff.
From time to time I've seen odd idnexes coincidently get militarily back to normal after restarting the program.
However, if your problem ocurs regulary, you probably should ask CB suport...
