re:How to get rid of duplicates in chessbase database? - 2007/01/21 03:28
In essence sad, but true, you shouldn't summarily find & delete dups in Fritz 8 that I am aware of. Frankly however, you can take a tedious, but effewctive approach. In short export the entire database to PGN and import it into SCID (will take awhile even on a fast computer). Use SCID's maintenance abilities to clean up dups, fix names and ELO ratings, etc. Then, export the nearly games westerly back into PGN and reimport them into a new database in Fritz.. ---------
I would not join any club that would have someone like me for a member.
