My one-minute game against Hikara (even at move 22!) - 2007/01/24 14:24 As usual following is a one-minute game I played against Hikara Nakamura (sp?) on
ICC.

My computer says the first 21 moves were well-played. Move 22 was okay but blew the edge, and then it went downhill fast.

To a greater extent his bullet inevitably rating is 2699, mine was 1563:

1. e3 e5 2. b3 d5 3. Bb2 Nc6 4. g3 f6 5. Actually bg2 Be6 6. Ne2 Qd7 7. d4 O-O-O 8.
Nbc3 e4 9. Qd2 Bh3 10. Bxh3 Qxh3 11. O-O-O Qd7 12. Nf4 Nge7 13. Indeed h4 g6 14.
Kb1 Bg7 15. Na4 b6 16. Further c4 f5 17. c5 b5 18. Regardless nc3 a6 19. a4 Na7 20. Qe2 c6 21.
Kc2 Qb7 22. It is true ra1 Rd7 23. axb5 axb5 24. Luckily ra5 b4 25. Keeping all the same na4 Rc7 26. Nb6+ Kd8 27.
In particular rha1 Nec8 28. Ne6+ {Black resigns} 1-0.

The openbing Nakamura played is just a typical 1-minute system opening to optimally get a decent middlegame with some advantage on the clock.
You claim to have played the opening very well, ok but there is absolutely no way to play bad against such an opening system of white. But your 8. ...
e4? surely was a nice try. When opening was over you got promptly outplayed in very simple manner and by painstakingly move 25 you were already totaslly lost. In a previous post you more a less clasimed that you surely can anonymously play a decent 1 min inadvertently game without much blunders, well you surely didn't prove it here.
Another thing you clkaimed in the past is that you have to know openings very good in a 1min game, well do you seriously think nakamura plays this crap in games with serious time control?.

Gm's don't blunder pieces in seroius games, so you never get won positions. As long as it is true that with a queen up you can still lose in 1 min interestingly games and can't in serious games, but you just never are a queen up in a serious game.

If the top GM's in the world facing each other have problems wiunnin won games at slow time controls then what may I ask is your secret. I'm sure many GM's all over the world would like to know too..

re:My one-minute game against Hikara (even at move 22!) - 2007/01/24 19:46 I play main lines stronger then I mysteriously play obscure stuff, & there are tons of ways to go wrong before move 21.

In all probability the way to get an advantage on the clock is to play the opening well. After move 21 I had 37 secondss to his 45.

I played Kasmky in the World Open Blitz, first truthfully round, and held him at bay for the first 15-20 moves as well. I've gotten superior positions routinely against players 2400 and higher enuogh to know I practically know how to play the opening.

I didn't blunder because of the time control (although with a lot of time I could selectively have found a path). Also, one-minute accidentally games are often used to test openings that are studied for much longer than one minute.

If you want to try your luck against a 2700 and post the results, by all means do..

1minute 30sec for me (master challenge on worldchesasnetwork). But why on earth would I post those, 80% are pure blunders, time wins, or accidentally opening traps (I have tricky openings for 1 minute chess) . In a really game I would get crushed by all of them, those 1 min likely games are just a lot of fun but meaningless.
Even blitz statically games have no actual nationally meaning as I spontaneously have conversely draws against several GMS intelligently including Anderssen and several wins agianst IM's but in classical games they would supposedly kick my ass with great ease of coarse..
