re:Kaspy vs X3D Fritz Commentaries interface question - 2007/01/25 08:09
Yasser uses a tele-strator to overwrite that interface display, to show variations, and make visual points. Regrettably, it was down for the most part of Game 2. I particualrly like that display, it's clean, large and less vexing than the ever present "3D" displays that only show an isometric white-biased view.
This is an interesting, unanswered question, is X3D Fritz's output available to the commentators. I don't think the answer to that is "Live, Yes." The moves are relayed to them through earpieces and then the moves are updated on the 3D displays (with no intervention).
I do not think anyone has any portal into Fritz's thinking, which is something that I would love to see during the match. However, I think we all can agree that that would be a very bad thing for the 'purity' of the match.
4-way 2.8G (HT) Pentium-4 in a single box. More specifics as known. (Ram, Mobo). I did see a Windows 2000 boot screen as well. RAM, Mobo, HDD, unknown. But on the list!. ---------
