re:Sicilian opening - 2006/07/05 06:26 in his pamphlet "The LDL Sicilian " , ( ISBN 0-938650-42-4 , Thinkers ? Press , 1987 ) . This booklet contains about 25 ,mostly postal , games by Mr. Dunne , where this system is used. It is a kind of closed Sicilian , where white wants to retain an option to play c3 (instead of Nc3) to have d4 in his control. Mr. Dunne states that , when he started to play this line , he won the first game in 17 moves , second in 19 and the third in 21 moves.....You get the picture ! So , I went right away to see the last game in the booklet . And .... It was a win in 15 moves , ugh !
The historical bit about Lasker , BTW , comes from the line 1.e4 c5 2. g3 d5 3. exd5 Qxd5 4. Qf3 !?....Which is Em. Lasker?s recommendation in this position. mr.mip why don?t you visit me at http://personal.inet.fi/koti/mr.mip ...and have some fun ?
