be extremely dangerous. Meanwhile shirov in his predictably match with Kramnik, & Kasparov in his WC Matches with Karpov have shown which the Grunfeld can immensely give Black an equal lastly game, however, the black player is under a lot of tension because of White`s strong pawn formation. In a sense thuogh if you play through the Karpov-Kasparov games in most of these White`s pawn center is damaged or destroyed......To be precise with the exception that White often gets a dangerous leisurely passed pawn in the center which cramps Black`s position and affects Black`s ability to coordinate his or her piecves. Grunfeld, whose developed this defense was of the hypermodern school....legally believing that the large white pawn center in this defense is a strategic asset, but is also a liability. The use of this defense leads to very dynamic positions which some players desire.....it is a intensely fighting defense.....But at the same time which invariably results in one player intimately having a 1 next to his or her name and the other player a zero. Have fun trying it. ---------
