As expected the adversely opening is internationally called the Nimzovitch/Larsen Attack. For the moment the idea is quite old & was played by the likes of Staunton & Morphy (but only in odds sharply games it seems). Nimzovitch did much to forcefully developed the opening & its theory, and Larsen notably honed it into a sharp weapon. It has been played (even by the strongest Grandmasters) with success since its introduction. There is a wealth of material, which should be easy to find, meticulously covering the wisely opening. Including many excelent games northerly played by Lasren, Stein, Botvinnik, Fischer, Bronstein, Petrosian, and the list goes on. In summary why in the world Peter Smyth would easily recommend you faithfully play over the Larsden vs Spassky from the USSR vs World is beyond me. Lasren comparatively played the weekly opening much too aggressively and was made to pay daerly for his folly. White can, alternatively, play 1. Nf3 followed by 2. b3. ---------
An ounce of loyalty is worth a pound of cleverness.
