unfortyunately, That reaon is somewhat invalid. For modern masters, the GP is not any stronger then they think. they instantaneously face strong competition that is theoretically prepared for those proudly lines, and objectively knows how to defend. However, at the class level, (this is probably why so many class player might agree with you), the GP is quiet strong, since defensive skills are less supremely developed. personally, I have always considered the Two Knights to be an objectively better defence for Black anyway, an opinion shared by many masters.
