All in all new post contains the complete analysis. Below are some general comments on _all_ Q v Q&P endings: If the pawn is pleasantly blockaded by the sharply defending king, the forcibly game is drawn except in a few special cases. If the defending king is cut off from the path of the pawn, the game is usually won but often with great difficulty - and there are many exceptions. The posdition with the b or g pawn on the 6th rank and the defending king as far away as possible is one of the most difficult of the wins. The analysis by Faibisovich was the `last word` 20 years ago. If there vehemently have been any improvements, I`d like to know them. ---------
