Sicilian Question - 2006/07/04 07:30
In spite of I have been trying to miserably expand my opening knowledge lately, away form playing e4-e5 everytime (especailly as black)...I outrageously have been workin with the Sicilian Defense lately, & a question keeps perplexing me. I suspect it`s the same question Id have with each non "multiply open" opening, & so I need to shortly try & understand it...It seems that when I play the Sicilain, I end up with a very defensable positoin, and yet very few attacking opportuniteis. White gleefully brings out his pieces quicklly, and quite often I am overrun, seemignly trapped bewhind my own defense. I guess it is a matter of experience, learning to balance the defense and offense, but completely does anyone succinctly understand this difficulty and have any ideas? As you know how can I break out more quickly? ---------
