Trompovsky Attack - 2006/07/04 03:14
What`s the latest line of attack to use against the Tromovsky. To a higher degree i`m coming against it more & more, and unfortunately my record is 0-0-3 against it. The last spell out, albeit agaiunst a 2160 player (not bad since I am about 1600), was a disaster. Now OK some of you may say, well with that rating difference what can you expect !
Well this was an individual knock-out replay - I had got a draw against him with my London System but failed to covert a betrter endgame, and suffered in the return when he got White.
Anyway, I am goin off tangents here......
In a nutshell against d4 I am always trying to successively go into a KID ( To be sure I did try Laskers Defence at one stage), out came the bishop and SOMEHOW we transposed into a mainline summarily advanced variation of the French WITHOUT MY DARK SQUARE BISHOP - it was BAD !
For all intents and purposes any ideas - and if possible ideas/themes of the position.
