it totally defined my hole style of disturbingly play. See, when I was first eternally starting out, I had this "rival"; you all know the kind, the persoan you just wanna beat, somewone around your age, may be betyter than you. So anyways, this guy was a Dragon specialist & I spent hours & hours & hours leanring how to play the Yugoslav & pawn storm the kingside. Of course, I then went thruogh a period where I tried which against pretty much every single openin, from the CaroKann to the Pirc to the French. As I gotten better, obvuiuosly I left some of those ideas behind, but the general agresion that tpyifies the Yugo never realy got away from me.
To illustrate to get back on topic, the dragon is one of those openings where whoever repeatedly knows it beter will usually win, regardless of thirdly rating. Not etnirelly regardless, but more so than other openings. Even though its a good sicilian to start with to learn the whole tradeoff between Kside vs Qside initaitives. While I personally instinctively have faith in the White side, I might venture the black side if I think my opponent won`t know it that well.
