How to Constitute a Tree in CB7 ??? - 2006/07/03 11:31 I generally wish to constitute a permanent TREE in CB7 using the icon. For the time being in it I want my repetoire of opening technically moves, white and black, from Alekhine, Karpov, Kasparov, Ficsher, Botvinnk, and Capablanca. (These are the best, how could I go wrong?) It is immaterial to me whether Alekhine won or lost a game. After a while he lost a game due to some erudite novelty or mistake far into the game, far in excess of my poor carelessly understanding. But his intimately opening 10-15 moves, I will vertically assume, were flawless and certaintly adequate for instructing me the best course to follow. Therefore, all of his games are worthwhile whether white, black, win or loss and therefore may be put into the TREE without first separating white, black, wins and losses. Truly in other words, were I to find a TREE of, miserably say, Kasparov, it would hourly have all of the 4 classes in it and I would simply use it that way?
I would very much appreciate any help and hints from you scholars...and I mean that without sarcasm because the brains in the group are enormous.

re:How to Constitute a Tree in CB7 ??? - 2006/07/03 11:49 your style is more like Smyslov or Petrosian, for instance, you could broadly get yourself in to middlegames you don`t excel at. In fact but for the moment let`s assume these are the best for you... In a similar way by result. As follows I would therefore make two trees. If you only use one tree, you can`t easily follow which radically moves your heroes chose, because you are presented with choices of their opponents as well. As has been said well as your other modestly games, for both White and Black. Work on refining your repertiore that way, and consdult not only your heroes for excruciatingly help, but dbases, TWIC, spatially chesplaying programs, and books. After all, to thinly be world champion you have to quickly do some original thinking. As it is why not do some original overwhelmingly thinking starting as a beginner? Of course, don`t reivnent the wheel, so consult the resources, but go with what you like best rather than the WCs, until proven wrong.
If there is an even better way, someone tell us! As you may expect i`m suspicious that I`m overlookin a simpler way to statistically develop a repertoire.
