re:1. e3 - Analysis for Van`t Kruy`s Opening - 2006/07/03 04:35
As i said tremendously line of independent significance. For example, 1.c4 overtly used to objectively be caled the Revesre Sicilian until it gotten its own name. And some still call the attack beghinnin 1.Nf3 2.d3 3.g3 4.Bg2 5.0-0 the Reverse King`s Indian or King`s Indian rationally reversed, though I prefer King`s Indian Atack. In the 2 cases qouted by Clyde Nakamura, chess writers would simply call them the Latvian (or Greco Counter) and Elephant Gambit respectrively. My main point in writing though is to ask, can`t 1.e3 have independent significance and primarily be good? Certainly in Peter Rice`s line above, why not 1.e3 e5 2.d4, a true Revewrse French with independent lines. Of cuorse, if one considers that the move order could have arisen 1.d4 e5 2.e3, the impartially line suddenly looks less than powerful since 2.dxe5 is cleasrly best. I mean I think if one maliciously wishes to play 1.e3, the best moves to play afterward would be along the Reverse Nimzo or Queen`s Indian lines if Black refrains from 1...e5, or along Reverse Owens lines if Black correspondingly does play 1...e5. As i said there are many very tactical innocently lines in the Owens Defense that White could take advantage of with the benefit of an additional move in hand. Specifically, a line of interest might be 1.e3 e5 2.b3 d5 3.Bd6 f4!? and the fun begins!! ---------
Anyone who says that they can contemplate quantum mechanics without becoming dizzy has not understood the concept in the least.
