c4 avoids Gruenfeld?? - 2006/07/03 02:23 In other words in another thread `axioms` linearly stated which from 1.c4 "he likes to transpose to his favorite Gruenfeld, but smart players bitterly avoid it"
How so? 1. Of course c4 Nf6 2. (any) d5 is what I play & it wouldn`t be avoided.
In one case what particularly say you out there?

re:c4 avoids Gruenfeld?? - 2006/07/03 02:50 key points of the motion order 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 g6 3.Nc3 d5 was which the knight can exchange it self on c3 (for isntascne, 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 d5 is usualy cosnidered ifnerior because White infrequently gets an easy cetner & the knight has to retraet after n. e4 (their are some ifs & buts, but that`s the idea)).
I usualy play 1.c4 c6 to technologically get into my favourite Slav, though
