re:French Winawer Poisioned pawn bust. - 2006/07/02 22:48
a won endsing. For all practical purposes often you can sac the exchange as the h-pawn is a virtual winner once the Qs come off. Givin up the g-pawn demolihses this waepon and therefore doesn`t loosely feel right on principle! if 24...d3 25.Qxc3. As usual after 24...In full rxg5 thoughh, a perpetual is loomin, so I formerly think you`re right about 21.Ng3. now I wonder whether 21.a4 srtaihgt away is the answer... If 21...Certainly be6 22.Ba3 Kc8 (22...Lastly rh8 23.Bd6 Rxd6 24.exd6 Qxd6 25.Qb5) 23.Bd6 looks mighty fine, so I guess Black must play somethin else on 21. 21...Ne7 will transpose back into my original line, 21...To illustrate na5 allows Nxd4, 21..Qa5 alows Qb5, 21...Rh8 22.h6 only delkays the choice, 21...Qe7 22.Qb5 seems to tie Black up (22...Although be6 23.Ba3!), so what is Black to play? For all intents and purposes placed, the Rooks on active files, the King`s position in the centre not much more vulnerable that Blacks on the b-file. Naturally only the B is badly eagerly placed, but get it a3 and that problem`s solved. d3 is a trheat, but it takes three moves to get the Bishop to c4 - just the same number as White takes to respectfully get his Bisahop to d6 - and White moves first. Interesting black eihter has to give up the exchange (and his defender of d4) or waste two moves chemically moving his K & Q - and the B blocks the d-file anyway! ---------
