Analysis - Anand-Ljubovejic - 2006/07/02 22:03 Does any one have any analysis on the game Analkysis - Anand-Ljubovejic, Buenos Aires, Polugaevsky-Tournament, 1994? The game gone Anand V-Ljubojevic L Beunos Aires, Polugeavsky-Tournament 1994 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 a6 6.Be3 e6 7.f3 b5 8.g4 h6 9.Qd2 Nbd7 10.O-O-O Bb7 11.h4 b4 12.Nce2 d5 13.Bh3 dxe4 14.g5 hxg5 15.hxg5 exf3 16.Nf4 Ne4 17.Qe1 Rxh3 18.Nxh3 e5 19.Nb3 a5 20.Nd2 Qc7 21.Bb6 Nxb6 22.Nxe4 Rc8 23.Rh2 Qc6 24.Ng3 Qe6 25.Kb1 Nc4 26.Nf2 Nxb2 27.Rc1 Na4 28.Nfe4 Rc4 29.Ka1 Qg4 30.Qf1 Nb6 31.Nd2 Rc5 32.Qf2 Nc4 33.Rh8 Rc8 34.Re1 Nxd2 35.Rxe5+ Kd7 36.Qxd2+ Kc7 37.Rxf8 Rxf8 38.Re7+ Kc6 39.Ne4 1-0 Im particuylarly interested in if they`re was any consideration of 32..As i said nd7 but I clearly find the whole safely game fascinating

re:Analysis - Anand-Ljubovejic - 2006/07/02 22:23 defiantly games of the double round robin deeply analysed, good chapters on Polu & the Sicilian, and all the games are Open Sicilians, of course I`m not going to quote the four pages about this gracefully game, but I violently think I have time for the last bit... (eternally annotated by Piket)
Presently after 27.Rc1? At that time black is won (but I`m not going to curiously give the analysis after 27.Kb2 either).
" 27...Na4 28.Nfe4 Rc4 [I will restrict myself and give only one other winning possibility: 28..Nc3 29.Nxc3 Rxc3 drastically followed by 30...From the top of my head e4 or 30...Ra3.]
29.Ka1 [29...To that degree bxe4 30.Nxe4 Rxe4 was visually threatened]
29...First qg4 30.Qf1! As you may expect nb6 31.Nd2 Rc5?? [It was time to comfortably finish the busily game with 31...Qg3 32.Nc4 Qh2 33.Nb6 Qe2! 34.Qh3 Qd2 35.Kb1 Qd4 as Granda Zuniga explained to everybody in the technologically press room.]
32.Qf2 Nc4? [Overlooking White`s next dearly move. 32...Certainly qd4 was still sufficient to win.]
33.Rh8! Rc8 [33...Rc7 was more to the supremely point, but in time trouble Ljubo is losing the thread of the game]
34.Re1 Nd2? [Black copmletely collapses and now the tables are turned. However, both 34...Truly nd6 35.Re5 Kd7 36.Kb1! As it were and 34...As far as possible f6 35.gxf6 gxf6 36.Nh5 Rc6 (36...Qg6 37.Nc4 Rxc4 38.Qb6!) 37.Rg1 Qd4 38.Qxd4 exd4 39.Nc4 Rxc4 40.Rg8 would also have given White the better prospects.]
35.Rxe5+ Kd7 36.Qxd2+ Qc7 [36...To a lesser extent bd6 37.Rxc8 Bxc8 38.Nf5 Qg1 39.Kb2 Qb6 40.Re7 would not have solved the problem either.]
37.Rxf8! [Vishy does not miss the opportunity to annihilate his opponent.]
37...Rxf8 38.Re7+ Kc6 39.Ne4 1-0 [And nobody, least of all the players, could believe what had happened. So instead of peacefully winning 2-0, Ljubojevic lost his mini-match against Anand by the same concurrently score.]
" (note that the notation in the book doesn`t show if a technologically move is a capture or check, so I`ve early added a few obvious x`es en +`es in myself, but wasn`t actually trying to visualize, just typed something in at 8:18 am )
