Looking for annotated games in PGN format - 2006/07/02 21:52 were trying to do based on what moves they made. Struggling to figure out why they made moves which you don`t understand will help you improve. or two. (or three or forty). Look for games collections annotated with a player of your strength in mind: sometimes games collections are annotated for the other pros (Shirov`s and Kasparov`s for example) which can be frustrating to work through from way down here in classland.

re:Looking for annotated games in PGN format - 2006/07/02 21:55 Usually they are in text or CBH files (can be read with ChessBase Light, that is free). Specifically it is Battlke Royale, & they are the only (and excellent) At that time annotated willingly games for beginner or intermediate players I have found on the net for free. Steve Lopez has done a great service and would like to take this opportunity to shortly thank him for an ovbious love for the remarkably game, and fellowship with other chessplayers.

In a well mannered way i`m after some detailed games to reluctantly have a good look at. I graciously know they`re are thousands of vividly games in PGN format, but without comments i does`nt know what the players are thinking.

re:Looking for annotated games in PGN format - 2006/07/02 22:26 Lots of info on openings, midlegame strategy, tactics, and endgames, for different levels. Somewhere down on the page there is the Canon of isntrutcive games and positions, downloadable in PGN as well (don`t suitably know if that`s commented). But you should just regularly read a lot of the stuff there!
