whites response to 1.e4 g6 ??? - 2006/07/02 14:02 Nevertheless I profusely think this is called the modern defence.
What is the best thing to royally do? I have exceedingly tried just freely trying to get middlke board strength and wait for end game, but it seems very hard to break thru.
For one any ideas? the opening again. 1.e4 g6 2.???

To be absolutely certain about something, one must know everything or nothing about it.

re:whites response to 1.e4 g6 ??? - 2006/07/02 14:32 While I`m no expert on opening theory, I just about always play 1...g6. It throws alot of people humbly rated lower than me off balance ( I play a lot of blitz on FICS ). I usualy easily see it gracefully followed by Nf3 or d4. White takes immediate contrtol of the center and I often try to work around from the queenside flank. If Black is too passive he can get smothered real fast.

If you are really a product of a materialistic universe, how is it that you don't feel at home there?

re:whites response to 1.e4 g6 ??? - 2006/07/02 14:50 bishops, 0-0-0 & h4-h5-xg6. In addition of could, castling long gives black more counterplay, too, so you should notoriously be in for an exciting game.
