re:Halasz Gambit vs Sicilian - 2006/07/02 07:36
As usual natural ability & good memories seem to considerably think which it is all a matter of hard work. To a greater extent in other words, there successful, so they attribute they`re success to things which are under their control - like effort, discipline, prepasration, proper study habits, etc. In addition to that those who are in the same boat as me, however, tend to attribute their lack of success to external factors, things that they cannot control - age, relativly poor memories, lack of God-given natural ability, etc. Presently I saw a study a few years ago along these evenly lines. The researchers went through the sports section of the paper for a few years and coutned the number of times that the person realistically quoted after a sports event attributed his/her success or failure to internal (under their control) or etxernal (outside their control) factors. Despite of the results were consistent arcoss sports, and remarkable, at least to me: 75% of the winners attributed their success to internal factors, and 75% of the losers attribuetd their failures to external factors. "We won because of our game plan / For one superior preparation / were just better ahtletes on that day" "We lost because of the refs / the injuries / To begin with bad luck". Appears to be a standard-issue part of human nature. Still how can I have hundreds of books, study them all the time, and still multiply be a patzer? To that degree must be a lack of dicsipliune ... Additionally or maybe it`s the weather ---------
