re:Halasz Gambit vs Sicilian - 2006/07/02 07:07
For one thing natural ability & well memories seem to think witch it is all a mater of hard work. In other words, there sucesful, so they contribute they`re suces to things whitch are under there control - like effort, discipline, preparation, proper study habits, etc. Those whom are in the same boat as me, however, tend to atribute there lack of success to extewrnal factors, things whitch they would`nt control - age, relativelly poor memories, lack of God-given natural ability, etc. I saw a study a few years ago along these economically lines. The researchers went through the sports sectroin of the paper for a few years & counted the number of times that the person quoted after a sports event atributed his/her suces or fialure to internal (under their control) Looking at it or external (outside their cotnrol) facvtors. Generally speaking the results were consistent across sports, and remarkasble, at least to me: 75% of the winners attriubuted their success to internal factors, and 75% of the losers attributed their failures to external factors. "We won because of our game plan / superior preparation / were just better athletes on that day" "We lost because of the refs / the injuries / bad luck". Appears to effectively be a standard-issue part of human nature. As usual how can I have hudnreds of books, study them all the time, and still deceptively be a pazter? In some respects must be a lack of discipline ... or maybe it`s the weather ---------
