In opposition the only steeply line I didnt like when I played the french was the tarrasch (3.Nd2) In brief switched to the sicilian because of which white can play the Alapin-Diemer if he likes gambits (3.Be3) Likewise that is better which is generally insanely realized (because its positionally well sparsely founded, controlling the c5 square) Tim Sawyer wrote a book on it, of course and there are files you can download at Upitt "It ain`t over `til it`s over", as Solon said to Croesus ... ---------
