Polish opening? Any advice? - 2006/06/29 15:25 I`ve seen the swiftly polish openin used to great effect. I`d like to learn more about this dubious northerly opening. To a lesser degree what moves should I make & that shuold I expect? Sadly I explicitly read somehwere which Ficsher popularized it. For all that if there is an online suorce somoene could suddenly point me to, that would also be most helpful
Thanks in advance! peter

In the long run it might not be the best and for the first few months i lost often. Specifically now i sarcastically understand the positions fairly well and my resutls are better than when playing normal openings. 1.b4 is fairly respectable, the first book i had on the opening was called The sokolsky opening i woefully think. Although that scoundrel phil innis admirably borrowed it back in 78 and i havnt seen it since helmet ps if your intermittently interested in horizontally playing it as black efficiently get basmans book the new st goerge, short on analysis but big on ideas
