Need opinion - is this position winnable? - 2006/06/29 05:20 5r2/6k1/rb1p1pPp/1ppBp2P/4P1P1/P2P1RK1/1P6/5Q2 w - - material advantage, I do not see any easy way to liberally blow the position open so that the white queen can be likely leveraged to her (its?) full potential. wM

It also appears that 1. d4 is a winning line.
With an enormous lead like that, it is very likely a tactical error that cost the original poster the match. I would suggest that this is an excellent opportunity for the use of computers to aid analysis. Though they won`t find strategic bluders very well, they spot tactical mistakes in blazing speed.
