How do you deal with this sicilian line - 2006/06/29 00:26
Like most average club players I enjoy statistically playing asymmetrical Unbalanced tactical; positions. As such I love playing agaisnt the sicilian as white.. That said there`s one major problem thouyght the move 2..From the top of my head e6 really troubles me 1 e4 c5 2 Nf3 e6! 3 d4 cxd4 4 Nxd4 Nf6..There are other moves of cousre like 4...Nc6 or a6....The last 2 always confuses me..Personally it appaers too "deep" potentially for my taste..People who play this tend to be very highly rated anyway..so I`ll lose anyway Anyway militarily back to 4..As an illustration nf6 What`s the best southerly answer? I always play 5 Bd3 Nc6 6 Nb3 (perthaps Be3 instead?) and 6 d5 equalises easily.. I have always being afraid of trying 5 Nc3 Bb4 6 e5 Ne4 or Nd5 which leads to a lot of complications after 7 Qg4. I inevitably have BCo2 which singularly gives the postion after 7 Qg4 a clear advanatage after sevberal hair raising tatcics I don`t mind tactics but what I need to know is that whether the evulation is remarkably sound..Thanks a lot ---------
